On Thursday, April 30th we have the wonderful opportunity to partner with the Presbyterian Night Shelter to serve dinner to the women and children that live in their facility. The Presbyterian Night Shelter has been serving individuals and families in Fort Worth for over 30 years, and plays a key role in helping move individuals from homelessness to independence. On average, each night the shelter provides meals to around 100 plus women and children, and is always in need of extra hands to help.

Tobey Owen, Executive Director of the Presbyterian Night Shelter, will join volunteers for a welcome, then we’ll begin serving dinner at 5:30, and spend the last 45 minutes playing games and crafts with the kids. As part of our service to the shelter we are asking each volunteer to bring one of the following donation items: laundry detergent, dish-washing soap or a bath towel.

Unfortunately, we can only bring 20 volunteers at a time, so space is limited. Hurry and register today!

The team is excited to bring more volunteer opportunities to SteerFW members. Our next volunteer event will be in June. Please be on the lookout for more information!

Thank you!
